Virgin and Child – Eleutherotria Tsambika, also known simply as Panagia Tsambika. Housed in the Monastery of Tsambika on the island of Rhodes, Greece, this sacred icon is celebrated for its miraculous power, especially in helping women with fertility issues. According to Orthodox Christian tradition, the icon was miraculously discovered on Mount Tsambika, glowing with an unearthly light. Its name, Tsambika, is derived from the Greek word for "spark" or "flame," symbolizing divine illumination. The Virgin is honored here as Eleutherotria – "She who delivers" – emphasizing her role in granting freedom, healing, and hope.
